Application Information

The application cycle is bimonthly: February, April, June, August, October, December.

Applications open at 12:00AM EST on the first of every other month.
They close at 11:59PM EST on the seventh of every other month or when the cap is reached, whichever comes first.

All applications will be given a verdict at the same time after they have been processed. If you fail to receive a response within 48 hours, feel free to contact the mods!

Some things to note:

✦ Please ensure that you are using the most up-to-date form when submitting your application.
✦ Please post the entirety of your application in one (1) comment to this entry.
✦ Powers, World Info, History (including CRAU) and Samples may be linked if required.
✦ Subject should be in the format: Character Name | Canon Name | Reserved/Not Reserved.
✦ As of right now, Zhatuas accepts the following:
canon characters, original characters (including MMORPG or games with malleable protags and fandom based ocs), canon AUs (MCU vs. 616), CRAUS, and non-human characters. There is currently a limit of three (3) versions of a single character.
✦ Characters must be 16+, please contact the mods if your canon is ambiguous regarding age. ✦ There is currently a cast cap of fifteen (15) characters per canon.
✦ You may apply for two (2) characters for your first cycle. After that, you may only app one (1) for each following cycle (with mod approval) until you reach the player limit of four (4).
✦ Samples may come from any public source except for TFLN.
✦ Linked samples cannot be older than one year from the time of your application.

✦ Reservations are not mandatory to apply.
✦ You may apply for a character without a reserve, however, reserved applications will be judged first should one be submitted.
✦ Applications will be judged on an otherwise first-come, first-served basis.
✦ A verdict will be given on all applications at the end of the app cycle.
✦ There will be no challenge applications; applications will not be measured against each other regardless of reserve status.
✦ If a player reserves a character, no other apps will be judged for that character
unless the reserved app is not submitted or declined.
✦ Reserves expire on the fifth of the month at 11:59PM EST, before revision requests go out.

✦ Current Application Cap is forty (40) per app cycle. This cap is subject to change.
✦ Applications may be Approved, Declined, or asked for Revisions.

→ Declined applications can be reworked and resubmitted during the following application cycle. If an application is denied three (3) times, it will not be allowed to be resubmitted any further.
→ Revisions must be submitted within forty-eight (48) hours of the revision request being sent out. If this is not possible due to extenuating circumstances, please contact the mods!

RNG Housing Preference (Select One): Roommates/Handwaved.

All volunteers are given their housing using RNG. If players wish to thread with roommates we will do our best to accommodate their character being housed with other players who enjoy the aspect. Similarly, if players are not interested in roommate interactions, they can opt to be roomed with other players that aren't as interested, in this case, please choose handwaved for this section. (Please note: Housing preferences are not guaranteed.)

Please use our opt out if there are any players or characters you wish not to be RNGed with.

Character Motivation: Why would your character agree to come to Zhautas? Please keep in mind that all characters are volunteers who arrived willingly. Volunteers could have been coerced, misinformed, or manipulated in whatever way might get this particular volunteer to join, but they did come because they agreed to and with prior warning.

(Acceptable answers for this section are anything from "To save the multiverse" to "To have lots of sex", we don't need a paragraph explaining your character's introspection on the matter, just evidence of player awareness that your character came willingly, if a bit misinformed.)

Please Note: A character returning to Zhautas is not treated as a CRAU.

If your character was previously in the game and you wish to re-apply for them, simply mention that they are returning with their in-game memories or arriving canon fresh. Characters arriving with their memories intact will wake up on the arrival ship like all new volunteers with no recollection of how they got there.

►► While we felt that your history section was good, we require revisions to your character's world information and personality section.
►► For the world overview, we'd like to know more about the setting, especially information pertaining to how magic plays a part in the world, clans, the magic surge, and the resulting political landscape.
►► In terms of personality, we would like to see more detail on the traits, specifically citing original canon examples rather than ones taken from the TDM that can back up the listed characteristics.
